I tend to get a lot of blog post ideas all at once and then can go days without ever feeling the need to write. I used to just post them all at once and then go days without writing anything at all. But now, I’m going to let out my little secret. The way I keep my blog writing consistent is to post date my posts.
If you are using wordpress, you can look at the little “post timestamp” menu on the lower right hand column. Just change the date and time to when you want the post to appear on your home page and then press publish. If you are on blogger, I’m not sure, but you can look into it. You never know!

PS I actually wrote this post on March 12!
I wish blogger allowed this
I can date the posts later, but they still show up on the blog, just with a weird future date!
I’m glad that WordPress allows you to do this, though, because it sounds like it really helps your blog!
On Blogger, you can post something as a draft, and then publish it later, so then it doesn’t show up on the blog until you publish it. I, however, tend to just email postings (or ideas) to myself and then post them/write them at that time.
You can do this on Typepad, too.
This is a great idea. I have the same problem, but I’m on blogger, and I haven’t figured out how to make the posts show up later on. Maybe that’s something the folks at Google will work on for us.
I didn’t know you could do that!! or is that just on wordpress? I’m on blogger, maybe that’s why I didn’t know.

Turn about is fair play! The way you post–several at a time–is the way I read blogs!
